"In 2014 my fiance and I set out to purchase our first home in Northwest Arkansas. We had spent nearly two years independently seeking out a foreclosed short sale fixer-upper when we came across a home in West Fork that met our needs. By a random online chance, I reached out to Kathy for assistance with closing on this specific home, and was immediately amazed by her ongoing commitment, professionalism, and can do attitude throughout our 9 month buying process with her. In the end the West Fork home unfortunately had a previously confirmed bidder and we were unable to purchase the property. However, Kathy remained committed to our search with regular updates about local properties that met our tight budgetary needs yet large space requirements. Three months later, Kathy was able to find a short sale home in Elkins that met all of our needs, but had been tightly locked in by bank debts as well as many other liens making the property nearly impossible to purchase over the 3 and a half years that it was listed. Despite the 1/3 price tag value, the banks and property owner had already failed to seal the deal on four previous occasions given the long duration of time needed to remove the liens and the difficulty of working with the property owner. During the bidding process, Kathy remained increasingly optimistic and committed, updating us weekly about what had transpired between the owner, the IRS, as well as the banks, and was even able to get the already low price to a more manageable one to accommodate our necessary remodel budget. Whenever I had a question, or needed assistance with anything, Kathy was there ready to get the job done by going above and beyond on a number of commendable occasions including going out of her way to meet up with me far away from her office with paperwork that needed to be signed, and regularly heading out to the property to make sure it was being well maintained while I was out on the road for business. She was also able to secure exclusivity to the bid so that the 5 months of brokering a deal, and the removing the liens would not be in vain. Needless to say, I cannot begin to express how professional, hard working, and committed to our cause Kathy was during our buying process.
